SPECTACULAR OXFORDSHIRE GARDENS GO MOWING WITH SANLI

High-profile Oxfordshire visitor attraction, Waterperry Gardens, has taken delivery of a pair of SANLI LSP46 self-propelled pedestrian mowers to help maintain a variety of formal lawns and other grassed areas within the magnificent 3.2ha ornamental garden.

Handed over by SANLI UK’s area manager, Claire Morris, the two 46cm mowers were selected by Waterperry from the company’s extensive range of pedestrian machines encompassing models with cut widths from 40cm to 51cm in push and self-propelled versions.

To be used by Waterperry’s three full-time gardeners, the mowers incorporate operator-friendly features such as comfort-grip handles, 60 litre grass collectors and single-point cutting height adjustment. Of equal importance to Waterperry were the low fuel consumption and noise levels of the mowers’ SANLI 5.5hp air-cooled engines, helping  minimise running costs and disturbance to visitors.

Located near the village of Wheatley about four miles east of the city of Oxford, Waterperry Gardens was, until 1971, home to a school of horticulture for ladies. Today, the gardens at Waterperry have evolved into an oasis of calm and beauty where visitors can enjoy the spectacular formal gardens, which include a waterlily canal, a rose garden and the celebrated 60m long colour border, said to be one of the finest purely herbaceous borders in the UK.

Other attractions at Waterperry include a museum of rural life, a tea shop and garden centre, a Saxon church and the national collection of Kabschia Saxifrages.

Speaking at the hand-over over the mowers, SANLI UK’s Claire Morris said that the company is delighted to have supplied garden machines to a fellow Oxfordshire resident.

“Waterperry Gardens attract thousands of visitors each year from across the country and from overseas,” she commented. “It is good to know that those visitors will be walking on

grass that has been kept neat and tidy by SANLI mowers. Everyone at SANLI UK is looking forward to a long and successful relationship with Waterperry and the dedicated staff that look after its gardens.”
